welcome to the diary portion of my blog. i started this on friday, january 9th 2026 after stumbling across a youtube video that spoke to the broader theme i'm trying for this year, which is to be more unintentionally offline and more intentionally online. i am recently unemployed, by choice, in my final leap of freedom out of a job i clung to for far too long. amongst other things, i am trying to reshape my own relationship to being online.

the youtube video in question spoke of digital gardens, but i am fashioning something closer to a digital home. i have lived many of my years on the internet, and i will unfortunately live many more, so it feels right to at least build something on some land that is mine.
